Daytrip Kaposvár

Located about 25 km from our campingsite you will find Kaposvár. A not too big town with shops, cozy restaurants and beautiful buildings. The town center is pedestrianized. On the outskirts of the city are the large stores such as Tesco, Obi and Lidl. The most famous resident of Kaposvár was the Impressionist painter József Rippl Ronai. The local history museum at the Fo ut 10 (Main street number 10) is named after him. Quite remarkable is the town theater, a yellow and white building on the Rákóczi Tér in the style of the Secession, a forerunner of symbolism. Combine a walk at the Deseda lake with a visit to the city and finish the day with a delicious dinner at one of the many restaurants. From Mernye follow the 67 and you are quickly in the center. Park the car (free) at Tesco or Obi.

On Sunday morning until 12:00 there is a market where you can buy not only clothes but also household items. To the left of the terrain is a second-hand market, and in between are little cafes where you can have a drink or something to eat, such as lángos.
